A Nibble for small websites

Small Web Accessibility

A simple accessibility check for small websites. Find the problems worth fixing without wading through a compliance dashboard.

Scan a page

Type a web address. We only read the page, we never change it, and we don’t keep your results unless you’re saving them with Pro.

Free scans one page at a time. Pro can scan a small site and keep a history.

Eight ordinary questions

We check what a computer can reliably check, and explain each finding like a person would.

  • Can people read it?

Text that is hard to read against its background.

  • Does it make sense by heading?

    Missing, empty or skipped headings.

  • Do links say where they go?

    Empty links and “click here”.

  • Do images have descriptions?

Missing alt text, or alt text that is just a file name.

  • Can forms be filled in?

Fields and buttons with no label or name.

  • Is the page set up properly?

Language, title, zooming and page areas.

  • Does it work without a mouse?

Clickable things a keyboard can’t reach.

  • Are custom widgets labeled?

Misspelled or invalid ARIA attributes and roles.

What we won’t pretend

Automated testing catches some accessibility problems, not all of them. A clean scan is a good sign, not a certificate. We don’t give you a score, we don’t say you’re compliant, and we don’t claim any legal protection.

What we do: show the handful of things a computer can spot, in words a site owner can use, with the standard’s number as a footnote.

What we left out, on purpose

No scores, no dashboards of red numbers, no legal language, no AI. The explanations are written by people and are the same every time.

How it works

  1. Type the address of a page.
  2. We open it like a visitor would and run the checks.
  3. You get a short list of what’s worth fixing, most important first.
  4. Each one says why it matters, where it is, and how to fix it.

Questions

Does a clean result mean my site is accessible?

No. Automated checks cannot catch every accessibility problem. A clean result means we didn’t find anything we can detect automatically. Things like whether your alt text is useful, or whether your site works well with a screen reader or just a keyboard, still need a person.

Is this a WCAG compliance checker?

It uses the same well-known rules (axe-core) that many accessibility tools use, and every finding lists the WCAG reference as a footnote. But it is not a compliance audit, a certification or legal advice, and it doesn’t say whether you pass any law or standard.

Why no score?

A number like 87 out of 100 suggests the test is complete and exact. It isn’t. A short list of things worth fixing is more honest and more useful.

Does it run JavaScript on my page?

Where we can, yes. We open your page in a real browser so that content added by scripts is checked, and color contrast can be measured. If a browser isn’t available, we scan the page’s HTML instead and tell you which checks that skips.

Can it scan pages that need a login?

No. We only see what any visitor would see. Pages behind a sign-in, or ones that block automated visitors, can’t be scanned.

What do you keep?

Free scans are not stored. With Pro, scans you run while signed in are saved to your history so we can show what you’ve fixed. We keep the findings, not your page.

Can I scan any website?

You can scan public pages. Private addresses and internal networks are blocked on purpose. Please only scan sites you own or have permission to check.
